Mr. Atteln has 16 years of experience teaching in Sparta. He has a Bachelor and Master's degree in Education from Wisconsin-La Crosse. Mr. Atteln particularly enjoys teaching Math. He enjoys all Wisconsin sports and fishing with his boys.

Mrs. Burkum has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with minors in Psychology and Social Studies.  She has received her master's degree as a reading specialist and a reading teacher.  She has over 27 years of 1-8 teaching experiences.  Mrs. Burkum has been with Sparta Area Schools since May 1976.

Ms. Hagen has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota and a Masters Degree from Viterbo in La Crosse. She has over 15 years of experience of working with children from preschool to age 12. Ms. Hagen has a strong interest in reading, history, and technology. She is an avid Packer and Badger Fan. Her interests include reading, taking walks in nature, crocheting, playing cards, rooting for the sports teams especially the Badgers and Packers, and traveling throughout Wisconsin.

Mr. Rundle has a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Education Professional Development degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.  He has taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade in Sparta for more than 25 years.  He enjoys teaching all subjects.  His favorite fun activities are traveling, camping, biking, and hiking.  He has gone to many summer and high adventure camps with Boy Scout Troop 68.
